First time flighing by myself! - R44 helicopter!

Ok guys - today was amazing! - My buddy Ryan for the first time let me take over the cyclic controls for the R44 heli right above the Hoover dam during a flight to the grand canyon and back !!!

I was so excited but little nervous - the next step will be some hoovering and then maybe some loops...lol - no loops...that was a joke.

ABS...MYTHS and FACTS by MR




I wanted to clear this up for some of you that are dying to get that 12-pack AB development as seen in magazines and infomercials...

1.Myth:
Abs need to be trained more then any other muscles.

Fact:
No, Abs are actually need no more or less training then any other muscles. Again the ideal amount of work can vary based on your own individual recovery ability. However, I found out that doing Abs once a week is plenty if done intense enough.

2.Myth:
In order to get Abs you need to train with ultra high reps.

Fact:
While there is some truth to that, I would have to say, keep your reps a little higher, somewhere in the 15-20 rep. range but don't go crazy here trying to work with astronomical numbers - you still have to create high intensity stress and overload just like with any other muscle.


3Myth:
In order to get Abs you have to do endless amounts of sets.

Fact:
Here we go again with the good (bad) old fashion volume approach. Just like with any other muscle, ONE and I repeat ONE set per exercise is sufficient enough to stimulate growth!


4.Myth:
In order to get Abs of Steel you need the latest Abs of Steel device available for 3 easy payments...lol

Fact:
Most Ab machines that you see nowadays on TV are a bunch of crap. The provide way too little resistance (unless you came back out of 10 year bed rest..lol) in order to promote muscular growth. The machines are simply an easy way to make you feel better about yourself for a short term with little result in the long run. They usually end up stored away under your bed while you still making these easy payments on it...lol


5.Myth:
Ab training will get rid of your love handles and Abdominal fat.

Fact:
This one is a classic - lol - Actually to be honest...Ab training is the worst thing to do to get rid of love handles and abdominal fat. If you wanna get rid of fat use your large muscles such as legs and back and reduce your overall caloric intake. Ab training burns very little calories but is important to when once in low body fat state, the development of your abs will "shine through" and will support your core and built a strong base for other exercises such as overhead presses and many more.


Ok...I hope this cleared some stuff up for some of you out there that are still trying to get those abs to pop out - I will be filming myself during a HIT Ab workout in MR STYLE during the next week and post it right into the member section of this site.

Hi guys,

My back is feeling a LOT better and I got a visit from my longtime friends UMBERTO and FALCO from Italy/Germany!

The guys have beeb staying with me for the past 2 weeks and I been trying to play "host" to them as well as had a chance to take some new shots along with UMBERTO !

I will be posting the new images and some videos in my LYFESTYLE blog in the member section - check out the cool shot Umberto took of me while riding out mountain bikes for a cardio session close to my house inside the flood channel.

UNDER ARMOUR SHOTS



Hi guys - My back is slowly feeling better but I am not able to train very intense at this time. I was suppose to do a photoshoot for LVAC magazine but was only able to manage to shoot for 2 hours due to the severe pain that I had. The shots however turned out pretty awesome and I am thinking of using them actually to promote UNDER ARMOUR GEAR which is my favorite training attire. So I guess it would be a good idea to send some of the shots in to the company and see what happends.
